- Remembrance Day Ceremony
Due to the continued local restrictions imposed as a result of the Coronavirus epidemic our group was regrettably not able to organise the usual Remembrance Day Service held at the Normanby War Memorial on the corner of the High Street and West Street.
Despite the Covid restrictions a short ceremony at 11am on Wednesday 11th November at the Normanby War Memorial drew a crowd of about 50 wishing to pay their respects to the brave men from Normanby who lost their lives during World War 1.
A wreath laying ceremony on Remembrance Sunday was attended by nearly 200 people.
Responsible and due care was taken by wearing face-masks and social distancing.
Special thanks is due to Tom Towers (Normanby LHG Honorary President) who has for many years been the main drive to ensure success of our Normanby Service of Remembrance.
